Most of the game scripts use RefIDs (via the associated EditorID) to control unique NPCs. The BaseID points or refers to the immutable prototype or template of an object the RefID points or refers to the actual in-game working copy of the object.Īlthough this RefID/BaseID distinction exists for all objects in the game, it is particularly important for all of the game's unique NPCs.

Most console commands will accept only one of the two types of IDs: the BaseID is generally used in cases where you want to spawn a new copy of an object, whereas the RefID is generally used in cases where you want to interact with an existing copy of an object. Console IDs Īll characters in the game have two distinct FormIDs that can be used in conjunction with console commands: a BaseID and a RefID. Various other humanoid enemies (e.g., Falmer, dragon priests, hagravens) are not NPCs, meaning they do not have black souls. If one dies for whatever reason, the game will eventually generate a new random replacement. There are also many generic NPCs in the game, most of which are randomly generated. Most NPCs can be killed, but there may be consequences later. Protected characters, on the other hand, can be attacked and killed by you but not by NPCs (however, a bug means that poisons can kill even Protected characters).

After a few minutes, they will rise up with full health, and will reengage their enemies until the latter parties are dead or out of the area. I HAVE NOT gotten consent to share this port as I haven't been able to reach the original author for over a year or two. There are many named NPCs in Skyrim. ~I Haven't tested with BHUNP so if someone can let me know if it works that'd be awesome ~If using 3BBB I suggest setting Low for Bust at.

I'd like to thank the original author, Himinbjorg, and the parties that helped me review and go over my added-in code to ensure everything worked somewhat as planned.Ĭurrently I do not know of any Incompatibilities that would cause a crash, and I've found that performance wise this hasn't made any noticeable difference on my current PC. So far things are working well in my game. I still must test and make sure things dont get crazy and out of hand to ensure this mod update and port are a great modern revisitation of such a good mod. The compatibility isnt perfect as outfits rigged for CBBE will have slightly smaller breast than the 3BBB/3BA nude look, but its not so much where its bothersome in my opinion.

Beyond porting it to Skyrim, I received amazing help from Schaken and Colonolnutty in making this mod compatible with 3BBB/3BA. I've attempted to get ahold of the original author for a year or more but to no avail. It contains the bugfix made by Himinbjorg The Reason for this reupload and port is that this is a mod I've always been passionate about during my Skyrim experience and I've carried it with me to this day. This is a port I did a few years back for this mod.
